The Villas of the Holy Land

Our History
Cristo Rey Ranch

The Congregation of Sister-Servants of Christ the King was founded in 1946 by Mother Mary Rose Schulte in the Diocese of Fargo, North Dakota. Mother Rose began work in 1949 when the Congregation sent members to Mount Calvary, Wiscosnin to provide support services at the St. Lawrence Seminary. Due to a pressing need for a nursing home in the Mount Calvary area, in 1960 the Villa Loretto property was purchased by the Congregation. In 1965, Villa Loretto became a licensed skilled nursing facility. The Sister-Servants of Christ the King have served the surrounding communities for over 55 years and have cared for hundreds of residents. To meet the needs of senoir citizens of our surrounding communities, in December 2005 we opened the doors of our 20 unit assisted living complex.

In honor of the steadfast dedication of Mother Mary Rose Schulte, we have lovingly named the assisted living complex Villa Rosa.

Together, Villa Loretto and Villa Rosa are the Villas of the Holy Land.
